Introduction: Hello, and welcome to Windows XP Simulator V0.1. Here, you can message "users" type documents, and more. If you feel that anything is missing, you can suggest additional features in the comments, or you can remix and add them yourself. ==== System Setup: When you first start the project (or when you start the project after resetting the computer), you will be asked to choose a language (currently, this project supports English, Dutch, Spanish, German, Polish, and Finnish), and a few other basic preferences. You can always change these and other settings from the Settings app. ==== Desktop: On the desktop, you can access the credits and Add-Ons. ==== Start Menu: Press "Start" to open the Start Menu. Here, you can access all of the apps, and stop the project. ==== MSN Explorer: Here, you can chat with simulated "users" but not with real users because Scratch won't allow it. It can take 2-6 seconds for a "user" to join. Click the textbox to chat. IMPORTANT: There may be some bugs, so please proceed with caution! ==== Microsoft Word: Use your actual keyboard to type, use the left arrow key to delete 1 character, and press enter to start a new line. Click "New" to clear the current document and start over and click "Open (credits.doc)" to view credits. Unfortunately, however, you cannot save documents. ==== Control Panel: Date and Language - Change the date format and project language (You will need to restart the project for the new date format preferences to take effect) Desktop - Change the desktop background and taskbar color. Restore Computer - Restore all defaults. ==== Add-Ons: Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate the menus, and press space to select an option. WARNING: The BSOD option will crash this project's page, and it has also been known to even crash some people's entire browsers. Proceed with caution! ====
