Description

All coding and visuals (except for the dancers themselves and the Just Dance typeface) created by me. Sound effects and menu music from the official JD series. This game is a partial recreation of Ubisoft's Just Dance, though it is not one-to-one, and has some of my own creative input. As this is a Scratch project, I do not make any profit from it, nor do I ever plan to attempt to do so. Song credits: Hot n Cold (Chick Version) - by Katy Perry (routine from Just Dance 1) Wannabe - by the Spice Girls (routine from Just Dance 1) TiK ToK - by Kesha (routine from Just Dance 2) Move Your Feet - by Junior Senior (routine from Just Dance 2) Girlfriend - by Avril Lavigne (routine from Just Dance 2) Jump - by Kris Kross (routine from Just Dance 2) Party Rock Anthem - by LM*AO featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock (routine from Just Dance 3) Twist and Shake It - by Ben Wheeler and Tara Chinn (routine from Just Dance 3) Call Me Maybe - by Carly Rae Jepsen (routine from Just Dance 4) Mr. Saxobeat - by Alexandra Stan (routine from Just Dance 4) Just Dance - by Lady Gaga featuring Colby O'Donis (routine from Just Dance 2014)

Instructions

Playing on TurboWarp is strongly recommended: https://turbowarp.org/955865989/ Dance for the highest score using your camera to track movement! Up to 4 players are supported locally, and up to 8 with cloud multiplayer! In order to play, you'll need a webcam connected to your device (or if there's one built-in, that works too). You'll also need to be able to stand a few feet away from it and move around, though playing with 3 or 4 players requires a further distance than with 1 or 2 players. Game instructions: Follow the Coach that you selected as if they were your reflection in a mirror. The game will try to use your camera to detect your movement and score your accuracy (it takes both location and direction into account). Be careful not to stray too far from the starting position or it won't be able to score you correctly. For each move, you'll be given "X", "OK", "GOOD", "SUPER", or "PERFECT", with PERFECT being worth the most points (except for Gold Moves, which happen a few times in each song and are worth 5x as many points as a normal move if you score "YEAH"). Rack up points and try to go for all 5 stars... or maybe even higher?
