Creatur.io - Multiplayer v1.5

Description

This is a recreation of the game Creatur.io made on Scratch. Jan. 31 - Thanks so much for top loved! :D ★★★ IMPORTANT ★★★ Patience is a virtue. This is a very large project and can take over 10 minutes to load on a slow computer. But be patient, it's worth the wait :) ★★★ LAGGY? ★★★ Try playing offline with AI, or I highly recommend playing on turbowarp, which runs much faster and has much less lag: https://experiments.turbowarp.org/interpolation/478169556 ★★★ PLEASE NOTE ★★★ If you are not signed in or you are a new scratcher, you can't use cloud variables, and therefore will not be able to play online :( Sign in, or come back when you reach "Scratcher" status to play online! :D ★★★ CREATION ★★★ This game has taken over 100 hours of hard work coding the 15,665 blocks and drawing all of the vector art. A heart and star would be greatly appreciated =) ★★★ STORY ★★★ You are born into a world full of other creatures, who are trying to eat you. Survive for as long as possible, eating other cloud players, or battling against AI in the offline version. ★★★ INSTRUCTIONS ★★★ • Make sure to click the green flag at least 3 times to reduce lag and minimize glitches • Use your mouse to control where your creature goes, pointing in the direction you want to go (for mobile users, drag your finger in the direction you want to go) • Eat collectibles and other creatures from their back to gain mass • Don't let other creatures eat your back • If you hit another creature head to head, neither one of you will lose mass • Press "M" to mute/unmute the music • Trees and bushes can be used to hide from other people, and they turn slightly transparent when you go under them • You can access the shop in the menu, where you can buy and equip different skins • After collecting a certain amount of collectibles, you will evolve, where you can choose a power-up that can be used later • To use a power-up, either press the letter that it says on the button ( "Z" for leap, lunge, and sprint, "X" for fly, burrow, and stalk) or click on the button for mobile users • Each power-up has a cooldown (besides the passive ones) and you can use them each time your power-up is ready • Each power-up grants special abilities, so use them wisely! • And most importantly, have fun! :D ★★★ POWER-UPS ★★★ Level 1 powerups: • Leap - Jump forwards above enemies • Lunge - Rapidly jump forward • Sprint - Move faster for 5 seconds Level 2 power-ups: • Burrow - Burrow into the ground for 5 seconds • Stalk - Become invisible for 6 seconds or until you touch something • Fly - Fly above the competitor for 5 seconds, fast and unreachable Level 3 power-ups: • Herbivore - Fruits are worth 50% more • Sabertooth - Biting enemies is 40% more effective • Armor: Enemy bites do 30% less damage ★★★ UPDATES ★★★ Feb 2 v1.5 Fixed some layering glitches Jan 30 v1.4 Allowed pressing Q + R at the same time to kill you, letting you buy skins :) Jan 25 v1.3 Fixed the glitch with burrowing forever :D Jan 24 v1.2 Fixed a bunch of glitches with the name, burrow, and skins :) Jan 24 v1.1 -Worked on fixing some username glitches - hope it works now! Jan. 24 v1.0 - Initial release ★★★ NOTES ★★★ If you disconnect right in the beginning, make sure to click the green flag again, and you will keep your progress :) Please report any glitches down in the comments, and I can try and fix them :) Also, due to scratch's inconsistency, you may go out of the walls. If this happens, you will respawn in the middle of the map, and continue playing :) 80% of the comments are about it crashing or waiting to load - This is because this project has tens of thousands of blocks of code, and thousands of costumes, a feat that very few creators achieve. 14% of the comments are complaining about lag - This project is very big, and I have already provided you with a link on turbowarp below, which is much less laggy. If that doesn't work, your device that you are using might not be able to handle this project, in which case you should switch devices, or just play a different game. 5% of the comments are about the AI not being able to be killed - This was a last-minute thing I added in just a couple of hours, and I added this, which was not in the original, so you could play offline if it was too laggy, or no one was online. It was made as a challenge for the player, to eat collectibles and survive as enemies came toward you. To the 1% of people who left a nice comment, thank you. It is you who keeps me motivated to make better and larger projects. Even if I don't reply to every single one of your comments, I still read them all.
