https://scratch.mit.edu/download Scratch 1.4: 1. Costumes are better for pixel art as they are limited in pixels if you want accuracy and then can change to a newer version later 2. You can change to a newer version later but can't change back 3. Has a "forever if" block 4. Clean up put blocks in a vertical line 5. Can detect Upper and Lower case by using backdrop names(still in newer versions) or the "contains" block in lists(only 1.4) 6. I like to do costumes and most of the programming in 1.4 so I can share it with older users and as backwards compatible as possible then I upload it and change stuff to 2.0. Mainly clones instead of sprites 7. Has normal mode, turbo mode, fast and slow slow modes 8. Has Mesh, the 1.4 equivalent of multiplayer 9. Can do program here then update to keep backwards compatible files 10. Runs on smalltalk Scratch 2.0: 1. Costumes can be done artistically but not accurately without a lot of patience 2. The differences I know of are listed. You can only copy links in lists not variables Scratch online uses 3.0 but consider trying 2.0 or 1.4 for costumes or programming as it can be easier sometimes for precise pixels in costumes and to find scripts and other features
