Description
Release History: 27/12/2024 - First release Beta1 Credits and Notes and stuff: Everything hand drawn and photographed. A certain amount of digital editing was needed to clean it up. The colours of the car were scribbled in felt tip pens and photographed and then applied to the monochrome outline of the car. The road was drawn on a piece of paper. The grass and road was drawn separately and I turned these into seamless textures. Trees just drawn and photographed. Sounds are synthesised by me using a couple of synths. Speech is my voice. Music is all written by me trying to give it a 16-bit feel, keeping it to 4 channels of sound and 8 bit samples. Paint.net used as the graphical editor. Instructions
This isn't quite ready yet, still a few bits to sort out... Controls are with the Arrow Keys only at the moment Difficulty is just dynamic so if you're not doing so well the cars ahead should slow down to help you out, it's still pretty tough though! Track editor: Hold down P to bring up the palette of blocks, only use the bends and non decorated straights (I'll tidy up this selection at some point maybe!) The starting grid always points upwards so all tracks must start like this. It's also worth putting it on decent long straight both behind and in front of the start line. Holding down M will show an overview map. Pressing Space will bring up the editor menu where you can load/save etc. Once you've made your track you'll need to process the track (found in the editor menu), this will check the route works and add decoration to the track. You can then save the track, once saved you can export it and copy and paste the code onto the forum post. Let me know how you get on.
