Description

@Griffpatch's RPG tutorial ep1-11, but it's Minecraft! -------CONTROLS------- [WASD] or [ARROW KEYS] to move. [0] to toggle the level editor [P] to toggle the palette collision pin editor (only works in editor) [1 2 3 4] to set layer (when palette collision pin editor is off) [1 2] and [X] to change/remove collision pins (only works when palette collision pin editor is on) -------NOTES------- I apologize for the large number of assets, but Minecraft has a *lot* of blocks. (I'm fairly certain that there's at least 1000) *note* the amount of assets means that is quite likely a bunch of costumes will be replaced by large question marks upon loading the project. Try reloading, or, if you can use it, turbowarp shouldn't have them: https://turbowarp.org/projects/974072278 Couple nuances with the editor: - each layer provides different block heights to simulate depth (layer 1 is the ground, and will only show the tops of blocks) - the player does not draw behind any of the layers except layer 4 (clearly evidenced if you walk straight down and collide with the bedrock) *note: I actually fixed this - see change log - I have yet to add the collision pins to most of the blocks - The acacia leaves are uncoloured as of yet - glass panes only face one way -------CREDITS------- Credit to @Griffpatch for his tutorials and the coloured grass, leaves and fern textures I found the rest of the textures here: (https://texture-packs.com/resourcepack/default-pack/) RPG text in the thumbnail from https://www.textstudio.com/logo/minecraft-logo-generator-697 -------TAGS------- #minecraft #rpg #steve #alex #2Dornot2D #ranger_07 -------CHANGE LOG------- (17-04-2024) Added warning of question mark costumes when flag clicked (30-03-2024) Added full walk cycles for the "plains" and template villagers. Split the typical characters for the font. (29-03-2024) Fixed yet another bug with the tiles' depth sorting. Added the rest of the idle costumes for the "plains" villager. (27-03-2024) Added textures for most of the Minecraft Mobs, and split a few of the more important ones, giving them "idle180" costumes. They currently do nothing. Also fixed Steve and Alex's head positions. (21-03-2024) Adjusted the tiles' depth sorting to fix layering bug. (20-03-2024) Added some semblance of depth sorting to the tiles - now the player appears behind layered tiles if the tiles are below them. (29-02-2024) Initial Release.
