CONTROLS AT THE BOTTOM!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crazy Otto was the original prototype for Ms. Pac-Man. It was developed in 1981 by a team led by Doug McRae and Steve Golson. The team belonged to a small corporation called General Computer Corporation (GenComp for short.) GenComp was founded by a bunch of students at MIT in the late '70s (including McRae and Golson.) They specialized in "enhancement kits" of pre-made video games. Crazy Otto was one such kit. The main character Otto was basically Pac-Man with legs, a weird sight to be sure. Because GenComp was already under fire for their enhancement kit of the Atari game Missile Command, releasing the kit themselves was a no-no. Bally Midway, the owners of Pac-Man, offered to buy the kit. GenComp accepted, the characters were changed, and Crazy Otto was lost for good. No cabinets were sold. This project is an attempt to remake the original prototype from '81. Controls: Arrow keys to move. Eat dots. Avoid monsters. (No species identification.)
