"what a shame. I really thought you'd last longer." horrified, he slowly turned around to see ivorine. no, this wasn't ivorine. he didn't know this greedy feline before him at all, eyes glowing a bright threatening amber that didn't feel warm. ivory smirked, and her tail flicked over a hidden switch in the wall. "oops, no witnesses. nighty night, aethi! you'll join your friend kai soon~!" the ground beneath his feet shattered, and he fell. fell down into the same abyss countless others had. as fresh glittering tears flew from his eyes, he realized how naive he'd been. he'd walked straight into Ivorine's trap. everything he thought he knew, was only a lie, merely a puppet show for Ivy's own entertainment. on the day of his debut, the people weren't crying out of joy. they were crying out of pain, yelling his name in hopes of him seeing the truth and finally freeing them from this prison. but he never did. he had failed them. meanwhile, hundreds of feet above ground, a new remarkable occasion was occurring. in the span of minutes, ivorine had found aethi a replacement. and as the new god of balance stepped into the spotlight, flashing her white teeth and smiling as the crowd gapped and cheered for her, she thought she was finally going to make a change. she knew she would. as the people wept, and the young god laughed in joy, unbeknownst to the fact that she had only become a mere marionette; Ivorine watched from her seat behind the stage, and smiled. - - credits inside #Art #Animation
