Description
Welcome to my unfinished 2D sandbox game I've been working on this for 2 years and 1 month Don't expect a "quality presentation" until it's "done" (V1.0) I started this in a different project but then remade it from the ground up because of the horrid codebase. It's an actual game now. There are over 8,300 blocks in this project. Credits: Tile engine - @griffpatch Music (from YouTube) - Oh Eight and BigRicePiano Art, coding, gameplay, design - me Inspiration - Terraria and Minecraft (duh) Ideas and help - @MagiYT, @DexFire, and my sisters @StarWarsGirl111 and @Oceanevee Changes (starting from the day I shared this): v0.1 - removed bad sword animation thing, added buggy attack cursor v0.2 - added asterlands vignette v0.3 - added the Concrete Labyrinth, an ancient fortress in the snow biome, changed the elder bricks textures to look less slimy and more mossy v0.4 - added jungle ground cover, polished some stuff, fixed some major gameplay issues, and added the Murk mines; an abandoned mineshaft full of undiscovered riches v0.5 - added cave decorations & variable bomb power, made enemies not be in one piece anymore when you un-alive them, fixed cursor bugs, fixed pathfinding bugs, added primitive combat and fixed attack cursor v0.6 - improved combat, massively overhauled the Asterlands (added 3 new stone types, a new brick/wall set, a new light source, and new vegetation), added delmot and ivybomb AI, added sky tower, polished some things v0.7 - polished Asterland background effects, improved sky tower, added the rest of the AI and added another enemy, improved enemy spawning, added wood and leaf sounds, added game guide in the instructions v0.8 - polished player and enemy models, added mining progress bar to cursor, added the granite Tower; a gateway to floating secrets, added the Scarland Cavity; an ancient cave city full of magmite, fixed block placement bug, added player being not-in-one-piece-anymore after undergoing unalivement v0.9 - fixed bugs and improved death, made combat punchier, improved player spawning, added ancient underground ruins, added better camera shake, fixed some stupids v0.10 - fixed bugs, improved sound design, added surface decorations, improved biome generation, adding volcano biome and added tundra biome, added tool upgrades, worked on armor for next update, changed how music plays during gameplay. v0.11 - Polished art, UI, gameplay, and structure generation. Removed a few structures so I can replace them next update. Improved enemy pathfinding, aim, and spawning, fixed tons of bugs, improved caves, added armor. v0.12 (WIP) - Replacing some structures, finishing volcano biome, polishing stuff, fixing any random bugs I find, balancing/improving/scaling/complexifying combat, brainstorming completion incentives. v1.0 (Planned) - fixing remaining bugs, polishing gameplay and progression, finishing save codes, balancing difficulty, adding a new structure(?) and replacing some old bad ones, winning life and screaming boats at you.

Explore, upgrade your gear, fight enemies, go mining, build stuff, raid abandoned fortresses, blow up the world, I don't care :D WASD to move, Space to place torches (if you have any), M to throw bombs, C to rain enemies, click and hold to break, click enemies to attack, shift and click to place, E for inventory, P to pause, T to go back to spawn, U to go to the surface, H to go to the asterlands, Y to go to the scarlands, 1-9 for hotbar. Don't explode, don't burn up, don't get smacked too much, don't fall to far. Explode, smack, and burn up enemies, which will try to smack you and blow you up. Overworld: -Taiga: a snowy biome with blue spruce trees and an ancient, buried fortress. -Alpine: a mountainous mountain biome containing many mountains. -Forest: an oak-filled forest with pretty flowers and hilly terrain. -Jungle: a lush, hilly landscape filled with mahogany trees. Desert: a boring, sandy wasteland with cacti and an ancient pyramid. Badlands: a striped, mountainous landscape home to a large, crumbling tower. Underground: rocky caves filled with ores such as copper, tin, and iron. You may find abandoned minehouses here. The Murk: damp, yellow caves full of strange plants and strong ores. A large, abandoned mineshaft full of titanium and crysorite awaits you here. The Scarlands: a cavernous, heckish abode full of cinder, magma, and a mythical ore known as magmite. An ancient city exists in this place, a mazelike system of tunnels with many chambers of ancient ore. The Asterlands: in the skies high above, the asterlands await your arrival. An alien archipelago floating in the sky, home to dangerous enemies and mythical ore known as quanzalic. Redman: a standard melee enemy that runs up to you and punches you. (Health: 12, damage 5) Shadoh: a quick, stealthy melee enemy that spawns up high and deep below. (Health 18, damage 5) Dygger: a strong melee enemy that spawns in the deeper parts of the world. (Health 18, damage 9) Ivybomb: a totally obvious, but very scary Creeper ripoff. (Health 5, damage ~30) Delmot: a strong, grenade-throwing enemy that spawns in The Murk. (Health 22, damage ~20) Lithim: a gravity-defying sky creature that throws explosive balls of light at high speeds. (Health 14, damage ~10)
