Description

This is a 3D scratch game, inspired heavily on the urban legend "The Backrooms". It is a randomly generated map every time you run it. No one will have the same maze to walk through. Big thanks to Griffpatch: i suck at trigonometry IMPORTANT: If scratch is giving you a hard time with your fps, I recommend running it in something like Turbo Warp. Enjoy! Note: When you are loaded into the map and click the stop button, you can see the map you were just in, as well as where you where at the time.

Instructions

https://turbowarp.org/643204647/ Turbowarp Link WASD to strafe Left + Right arrow keys to turn, or you can turn by holding down and moving your mouse. (Not Recommended) Space is to open the settings menu. No effort put into how it looks, just variables with sliders. (Deal with it) I recommend a res of 4 and FOV of 30 or 70. Update: Using some knowledge from the new Griffpatch tutorial, there is now an FPS Counter, and increased framerates. Big thanks to him lol Update: When loading up the game, you have an option of how you would like to have your resolution. For more fps based gameplay, you can choose "Auto Resolution Changer" which will change your resolution automatically depending on your current framerate. But, this may cause very ugly gameplay as everything is constantly changing detail. So, if you want to have more of a nice looking experience, you may just set it so you can choose your resolution manually. Bug (FIXED) : There is currently an issue with the rendering engine. It is sometimes failing to render walls which is causing crashes and invisible barriers to occur as well as random shakiness. I am attempting to fix this issue ASAP. Update: Optimised The A.R.C (Auto Resolution Changer) to give better FPS results, but also to give a better looking experience. It is working really well now. MASSIVE Update: It took forever but I finally created an automatic generation system. This took so much energy and forced me to rewrite so many collision scripts and rendering scripts. Crash Fixes: Fixed a few cases when the game would not load some walls and would end up hanging freezing due to such intense lag that the game would not load even the ECILPS system, which should be much harder to encounter now. Map Improvements: I have now fixed my terrible map generation system into one that kinda works (Increasing Reliability). Also, I have mad the map larger and more detailed, so thats fun. N E W S I've decided to start work on some other projects. That doesn't mean I am fully abandoning this project, but just that i'm going to improve it less often. This project didn't really turn out how i wanted it to, and adding the things that would improve it would mess up everything i have done so far, and i didn't really feel like rewriting the entire project. This was a great project however, and i both enjoyed it, and learnt a lot from it. Feel free to fix anything you see wrong in this project, as there is a lot you could improve. See you next time fellow scratchers!
