It won't immediately skip, but you'll know when it's about to STORY: In an alternate storyline of Mega Man 8, the evil Dr. Wily witnesses the incredible power of Duo, a powerful space robot. After finding the remaining scrap of a different space robot in his secret island base, he planned to create the mighty robot "Trio" to mirror the design of Duo. With the pieces of scrap seemingly compatible with it, Trio would be solely powered by the Evil Energy, a new alien energy resource. Fortunately, Mega Man, Dr. Wily's nemesis, reaches Wily's lair and battles him, eventually thwarting his plans once more. With Wily doing his good old "begging for mercy" routine like he always does at the end of Mega Man's adventures, Trio would be left as an unfinished project to be destroyed in Wily's fortress. Unless an unforeseen and very simple event happens that somehow activates Trio through the Evil Energy. That doesn't happen though.
