Description

Computer-generated music by Alex Bainter Licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) https://alexbainter.bandcamp.com/ ⚡️ How I made this masterpiece: (Instructions) 1. Made a lot of the code in the project. 2. Searched for good music and found generative.fm 3. Found songs that I liked and downloaded them. 4. Got the cover art for the songs I liked. 5. Cut the songs with an online tool (search "cut music online") to 20 seconds for easier Scratch upload. 6. Edited songs in Scratch to each be exactly 10 seconds in length + fade in and out in half a second at both ends of the audio file. 7. Made a list with all song titles for use in randomly selecting songs 8. Finished coding the project with cover art popping up in there somewhere. 9. Came back a day later to add more music and change the way the code works. Now there's skipping. ✌️ Cool things about this: (Notes) ‧ It only took me 4 days to create. ‧ The animations go only slightly faster (but a lot smoother) when using TurboWarp: https://turbowarp.org/592548056 ‧ I was inspired to make this because I'm currently working on making my first biggish project. I've been inactive on Scratch for a while but not the internet, and I decided to get back into making things here. ‧ Yes, that's the real @lisa_wolfgang. I was talking on a chat server where both they and I are staff. Here's a code that's completely unrelated: bUtXEtHKKC ‧ The project used to have exactly 69 blocks. I don't know what that means, but that's pretty cool. ‧ I made a forum topic post for this project weee! https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/555006/?page=1#post-5746980 ‧ 40 views in 4 days, along with 4 loves/hearts. Thanks. ✋ Acknowledgment: (Credits) Thanks to @--Explosion-- and @nodexninja for showing me where my code went wrong and for sharing your opinions about the project! :3 Also thanks to Alex Bainter for holding my hand and demonstrating how to use his website. I would've wasted many minutes without you. And lastly, thank you @--Explosion--, @nodexninja, @NotOneSpark, @Wicycool, @NilsTheBest, @World_Languages, @portishead7, @YodaLightsabr, @-Gyrox-, @PotatoAnimator, @PaddlerGames, @-Ekmand-, @Speedblocks, @Quimexus @FishNChips_, @RedGuy7, and @lisa_wolfgang for giving your opinions on how the project looked. ❤️ (Especially the background!)
