Now you can select from the thousands of open-source fonts designed by skilled type designers, instead of the handful of lower-quality pen fonts designed by Scratch programmers. Full RGBA Support: Most stamp text engines only support color using the color, brightness, and ghost effects, lacking any method to change saturation. SFE++ is one of the few stamp text engines to feature full RGBA support, so you can use any color you’d like. RGB rendering quality in SFE++ has been improved over Stamp Font Engine when using darker colors, removing the fringes of bright color around the edges of dark text. Kerning: An important feature for beautiful text, kerning has unfortunately been overlooked in most Scratch text engines. SFE++ is the second-ever text engine on Scratch to support kerning, following the pioneering Pen Font Engine++. Improved Word Wrapping: SFE++ has features to improve the quality of word wrapping, such as removing excess spaces at the start of a line and automatically inserting breaks after hyphens and dashes. To prevent this from messing with dates and phone numbers, hyphens and dashes before a number will not have a break inserted.
