-- ANNOUNCEMENT -- A remix of this game is now out which is based on the original Pyoro and Pyoro 2 from WarioWare Inc.: Mega Microgame$! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/306012871/ If the game lags or doesn't load, try playing it here: https://turbowarp.org/471868354 --- Why I created this project --- Back in January 2021, Nintendo temporarily removed their DSiWare titles from the 3DS eShop, leaving games like Bird & Beans, Paper Airplane Chase (DSi port for Paper Plane), and many others with nowhere else to be found, and unable to be bought. I wanted to recreate Bird & Beans in its entirety just in case Nintendo decides to do this again and these games end up being gone for good. Due to Bird & Beans being a DS game, I wasn't able to fit the bottom screen anywhere...but don't worry, because the bottom screen didn't display all that much, and everything it did display now shows up a little differently. Bird & Beans was a game that changed my whole life and was a lot of fun to recreate. --- Table of Contents --- • Bird & Beans 1 • Bird & Beans 2 • Point System • Controls • Settings --- Bird & Beans 1 --- Play as Pyoro, who has a very stretchy tongue, but look out for the falling beans! Your goal is to eat these beans before they hit the ground. The higher you catch them, the more points you'll earn. If a bean lands on the ground, it will create a gap that Pyoro cannot cross. Eating a white bean will bring one tile back. Eating a flashing bean will bring up to 10 tiles back and all other beans on the screen will be cleared. The game speeds up the longer you survive while the scenery and music alternate as you earn more points. --- Bird & Beans 2 --- Pyoro is feeling full but the beans keep on falling. Spit out seeds to instantly pop any bean that gets in the way! Popping several beans with one spit will multiply the points you'll earn. --- B&B 1 Point System --- Top layer - 1000 Second layer - 300 Third layer - 100 Fourth layer - 50 Bottom layer - 10 --- B&B 2 Point System --- One bean - 50 Two beans - 100 each Three beans - 300 each Four or more beans - 1000 each --- Controls --- Arrows keys / WASD = Moving Space bar = Attack / Start / Select Backspace / B = Back Enter / Q = Pause Some menus might require mouse input. ~ = Enables Cheats (note that if you use any cheats in-game your score / high score will not be saved!) ~ again = Debug menu 1-4 = Hide / Unhide Video Layers (enable cheats) 5 = Toggle Bean Spawn (enable cheats) 6-8 = Add Score (6 for 1000, 7 for 10000, 8 for 4000. Cheats need to be enabled) 9 = Change the way the angels look I = Invincibility (enable cheats) X = Spawn One Angel (enable cheats) C = Spawn 10 Angels (enable cheats) N = End Current Game (enable cheats) V = Volume Z = Auto-Fire --- Settings --- If you can't handle flashing colors, you can turn them off in the settings by swapping the screen to the bottom.
