Description

Dio now lives in a cave in a forest past Beetle lake. He stays inside most of the time and only goes out to hunt or steal jewelry from the nearby Vingaroon Hive. The silence and loneliness still may be suffocating sometimes, but Diablo's used to it. AHHH sorry if it was a bit traumatizing T0T He's still a prince, technically speaking right?? Art by me. (HOLD TO ZOOM IN) (ARROW FOR NEXT PAGE) Name: Diablo (Dio for short) Gender: male Age: 4 years (9 in human) and 10 later (18 in human) Tribe: HiveWing Sexuality: straight, though not proven Personality: Quiet, bitter, intelligent and emotionally detached You could say Diablo was like the middle child. He had a twin brother Addox, who was adored by everyone. Diablo got his name cuz of his dark scales and flecks of red, implying that he looks like a devil. His brother had bright red scales and flecks of black, which is what made his stand out more. Everyone in Yellowjacket Hive talked about him and how he's the best prince. Even his mother Queen Ladybug and father King Beetle loved Addox way more than Dio (his nickname he prefers to go by) and that pissed him off more than it made him disappointed. He also wanted parental love. Since they were twins, Ladybug decided to take them (Addox, actually, but she had to take Dio because Addox insisted his brother comes) to the Poison Jungle on their 4th birthday. Beetle showed them around first and warned them about poisonous leaves and plants around so the boys could be careful. Then she let them explore on their own. Addox enthusiastically asked Dio to follow, and he did despite hating it here. They flew all around the forest before landing in a clearing. Addox explored some beautiful looking flower while Dio walked around. Then, as he stepped through a bush, he spotted a deep hole right in front of his talons. Down there were strange looking vines with long orange and green leaves. Flaming poison ivy. Below it seemed to be water. Dio didn't know how deep it was, but he knew if someone were to fall down there, they'd get tangled in the ivy and possibly dr0wn. His eyes darkened as he turned around and called his brother. Addox came over happily and saw the hole. He was a bit amazed as he looked down and examined all the plants. At that time, Dio was standing behind him. His expression was dark and cold. He then stepped closer and shoved Addox with all his strength, to which he yelped and fell in the hole. As he hit the water with a splash, he started roaring, but it was muffled since he thrashed and the ivy wrapped around his snout. He wasn't only roaring of fear - but intense pain and inflammation as the ivy's posion irritated his skin. Dio also knew Addox couldn't swim, so he knew this would work. His brother thrashed some more and more vines tangled. Eventually, silence fell seconds after. There was no sign of a dragonet in the water. Just some vines and a few bubbles. Dio stared, thinking he's actually just k1lled his brother... and a tiny smirk appeared on his face. Dio came flying back to his parents, all panicked and crying because "someone" has taken Addox. His parents went in a frenzy and split up to search around the forest, not even asking what had happened in details. Dio pretended to search around the forest too, but he knew Addox was no more. Ladybug and Beetle asked all the local LeafWings, but they haven't seen any dragonets. Hours of searching turned into grief and shock for the parents. When they returned home, it was very hard of them to announce that their son was gone. Everyone in the Hive were shocked and even some cried. Ladybug weeped while Beetle showed no emotions whatsoever. Dio knew he just had to wait a few weeks or months for them to get over it, and then they would go back to their normal lives but with their favorite son Dio. But that wasn't the case. After weeks passed, the parents have somewhat got over it, but they treated Dio the same. They only gave more food and toys. Not love or attention. When Ladybug had to take Dio to work, she constantly talked about her dead son with the royal attendants, and so did Beetle. Might have mentioned Dio, but not as important and descriptive as Addox. And Diablo wasn't pleased. He was enraged. His plan didn't work. And he was done. One night, when his parents were asleep in their room, he sneaked out of his room, past the guards, and stole a jar with flamesilks in it, then shook it out on the Hive's steps and the roof. The thing went up in flames as Dio watched from a distance. He imagined his parents waking up to an engulfed bedroom, suff0c@ting from the heavy smoke of the fire. The Hive then collapsed on its side and burst into more flames. Dio didn't smirk this time. He simply left as HiveWings and guards came flying over and roaring. Six years passed since the fire. Some dragons still speak of it and how the royal family died in it. Some even say that it was the same dragon who took Addox that burned the Hive. But that is not true. Nobody will ever know the real, messed up truth about the royal family. Not even about one of their long lost neglected princes who is still alive to this day. // LAST PARAGRAPH IN CREDITS //
