Uses the spigot algorithm: http://www.pi314.net/eng/goutte.php The famous 999999 can be found by setting the calculator to 1000 digits and looking at row 16.
Instructions
Enter in the number of digits of Pi you would like the program to calculate. The time it takes to calculate digits rises quadratically. For my computer: 100 digits 0.03 sec 500 digits 0.7 sec 1,000 digits 2.8 sec 5,000 digits 1 min 10 sec 10,000 digits 4 min 40 sec 100,000 digits 7:46.40 1,000,000 digits 32 days 9:46.40 1,000,000,000 digits 88726 yrs 245 days 21:46.40
