Emma was looking at the dark clouds that were slowly traveling towards her home. She was always a storm girl, but something just didn't feel right this time. As a tall 9 year-old, she wasn't afraid of much, but today, she felt scared for the first time in her life. She called her BFF, Sierra Fields. "Hey, what is it? You only call me this early when something's wrong." Sierra asked. "I dunno, the storm... I feel like something... bad... might happen. Can you come over?" "Yeah, me too. See ya in five minutes." ___________________________________________________ Emma sat impatiently by the window of her bedroom when Sierra called up the stairs. "Emma, I'm here!" Emma ran to Sierra, and they hugged each other. Lori, Emma's mom, asked, "Hello, Sierra! Did Emma beg you to come over?" "Nah, she doesn't do that!" Sierra laughed back. Emma ran halfway up the stairs and signaled for Sierra to follow her. "Look outside for a moment," Emma said when they got to her room. "Do you see that?" Sierra jumped back in fear. "E-Emma, that's a... tornado!" "We gotta tell Mom, quick!" Emma yelled as she ran down the stairs. "MOM!" "What?" "There's a tornado outside, what do we do?" Emma yelled. "WHAT? Run through the whole neighborhood and tell everybody!" Lori exclaimed in fear. Emma and Sierra nodded. They ran to Frank and Marjorie's house, Betty's house, Sierra's house, Alan's house, and Sheerly and Jack's house. They even ran to the farmer's house next door. Everyone soon left the neighborhood in fear, but they didn't. The Butler and Fields family stayed. Emma and Sierra ran back home and told Lori that they were done. She told them to go into the basement, where everybody else was. Lori followed. ___________________________________________________ Chapter two will come out on the 13th of December, or tomorrow.
