Description

A most sincere thanks to Coocky for his *Mac OS X Snow Leopard Simulator* (2009) — without his work, this endeavour simply would not exist. Gratitude also to all those who have tested, broken, reported, and occasionally repaired this simulator through their invaluable feedback and suggestions. **Tags:** #macOS #macOSX #osX #Mac **Change Log** *(Much like Snow Leopard itself — not many “major new features”, but a veritable banquet of refinements, my dear)* (03/01/25) v0.1 – Public release!? (24/05/26) v1.1.5 –This update bug fixes the Classic bug (Present since 0.7.5, almost 1 year ago) of the calculator messing the Dock Zoom/Bounce animation to a halt!!! Instructions

After almost a year of dedicated work, I’m still fine-tuning my OS X Snow Leopard simulator — now more faithful to the original than ever before. This is an updated version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, originally created by Coocky when the real OS released (2009). It’s now fully compatible with touchscreen devices and packed with several improvements: Improved apps — for example, the old Paint app has been replaced with a much better drawing tool called Pixelmator & Preferences now counts with 12 default wallpapers (the ones most liked by the community!!) A more realistic Dock with polished visuals (even now, a bi transparent) that really capture the classic vibe. Enhanced Apple Menu — “About This Mac” and most other buttons are now fully functional. A fresh new login screen that gives the simulator a sleek OSX look. Finder improvements — now you can open and explore multiple folders just like the real deal. & Stability fixes and optimizations for smoother and more reliable performance. (Between other, cool stuff). If you spot any bugs or things aren’t working quite right, please drop a comment and I’ll do my best to fix them. Have a play and let me know what you think! If you want to see where it all began, check out the original Mac OS X project by Coocky on his profile — the true inspiration behind this remake. Have fun and enjoy this fresh take on OS X, right on your device! (Mac OS X, Snow Leopard, Finder, Safari, Pixelmator, and the Apple logo are property of Apple Inc... please don’t sue me, Tim — I’m just a fan of Skeumorphic Mac OS X with a sleek project!)
